AA:CH Papi HW 6

Creature Studies homework 6

Papillae walked towards the creature studies room, after a nice hot shower. She had just finished having a preparatory practice with Marcus L. about his weaponry homework. It was quite intense but it left her feeling refreshed and nostalgic. It has been awhile since she have to use her skills.

She entered inside, and met two jackals. She gave them an embarassed smile, her chipmunk-like front teeth sparkling from shame. Oh dear, she has entered the wrong class! But wait! There was other people who were from her class, like Uri. The 6"4 kid is hard to miss. Her eyes begin to fill with confusion.

"Is there something I'm missing?" She asked the two jackals.
"No, we're just your new teachers. Twice the fun right?" The female answered.
"Ohh okay...." she walked past them, bent forward leaning as she excuse herself and scooted fast to where the others are already beginning their current task Solar had left, trying to get out of trouble because she was late.

She tried to remember what they were supposed to do. Something about studying a magical creature. She bit her bottom lip, and wishes Lyra was with her. But apparently they are upgrading creatures or something. Aww she will greatly miss the time she had with Lyra. Though he still lived in the forest, which was a good thing. They practically share the same habit of tree jumping while Kisu and her hunted some birds.

Back to the crowded room filled with cages, and animals that are outside of cages, beasts already interacting with some students while others are crowded in corners terrified at some of the magical creatures that are snoozing across from them, satisfied at the terror they have initiated from students.

She roamed around the cages, hell hounds, phoenixes, miniature dragons, etc. The sizes varies. Then she caught a piercing gaze in the corner of her eyes. She knew this stare as she played chase with the higher bird predators.

Something felt different however, and walking closer to the hippogriff, she noticed him alone in the back, with a sad look on his eyes. He gave a mighty mean scare yet behind that facade was fear. She smiled and walked closer to him.

The hippogriff jumped and attacked her thinking she was a threat and ran off in the other direction. REJECTION! Papi pouted angrily.

"I'm gonna befriend you! Just watch!" she proclaimed while the hippogriff gave a little back kick with his horse hoofs.

Everyday after practice with Marcus, she would proceed to the creature handling room. At first anxious about his previous behaviour - he might do it again. But she won't quit until she gets want she wants. And she definitely wants a bird, smelling really delicious roasted beside her... no no. She won't actually roast him.

Then a few days after, reading books about hippogriffs and how to tame them, just giving him space while showing interest on them is one of the best approaches. That and giving a good stare at them in the beginning until they bowed at the person. The hippogriff would do a mini bow before trutting away from her, scared with her malicious ideas of roasted falcon.

She lets him be, pulling a chair right near and reading some more about hippogriff. Her hair would often start acting on its own trying to lure him to Papi and one day, the curious hippogriff finally walked towards Mu and started a weird conversation. Papi is delighted the connection between them is starting.

Shy hippogriff is shy. But he is lured by hair! YAY~ Mission accomplished.
